Today, lets talk about Too Faced's Melted metal which is a Liquified Metallic Lipstick. When I first heard about these lipsticks, I thought this is just another gimmick. Liquified Metallic Lipstick? Seriously....

The box is adorable. I have anxiety deciding if I want my lipstick out to be displayed or if I want it in the box, its so cute. THAT...is a sign of a makeup COLLECTOR. Some days I'll put it back in the box and some days I'll just keep it out with my other Too Faced Lipstick- display on my desk, in my makeup room.

I'm sure it's some simple design, nothing crazy...but I love it. I love the applicator, I like just squeezing a tube, like a tube of toothpaste and applying. The color of the container is gorgeous. You HAVE to go to Sephora and just look at them all. It's a rainbow of gorgeousness!!

Okay, so now for some serious talk. Too Faced wants it's consumers to know the following:

Choose from eight curated shades ranging from soft gilded corals, iridescent plums and dazzling pinks that offer brilliant depth like never before.

More To Love:

  • Too Faced Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Jerrod Blandino had never seen lipstick more beautiful, pigmented and rich than in its melted form in the cosmetic labs. With this inspiration, we created Melted – a lipstick liquified.
  • Melted Metal provides high-impact, super rich pigment with a vibrant, liquid metal finish offering multifaceted depth like never before.
  • Available in eight curated shades ranging from soft gilded corals, iridescent plums and dazzling pinks.
  • Precision tip applicator to allow for a clean, effortless application each time (no liner or brush needed!)
  • Vegan-Friendly
  • Paraben Free
  • Gluten Free

I am going to be honest here....I LOVE THIS LIPSTICK. It is my favorite! It has beat my YSL which has been my favorite for YEARS.  I do only have just one color....but I have been wearing it every day since I purchased it (it's been 3 weeks, I believe) I don't care what colors I wear, what look I am going for...I just wear it. I'm sure if I had more colors, I'd wear those two. However, until then...I'm okay with this! lol

The smell....AMAZING. I want to eat it! The texture...creamy...not gooey. Feels so lovely on my lips. The metallic finish....I didn't think I'd like AT ALL....I LOVE IT! The pictures do not give it justice. Please just go try this out for yourself. I promise it's lovely.

Plus, want to know what is the best part? No matter what age, you can wear it! Some textures or colors aren't that attractive on older women or younger women for that matter, in my opinion. Well, these lipsticks are the best I've come across.

You can purchase these lipsticks at Too Faced's gorgeous website or at your local Sephora or Ulta. I suggest seeing these beauties for yourself.  I nearly fainted in Ulta when I sampled it on my hand! LOL  These lipsticks are $21.00 for .40 fl. oz. However a small amount goes a long way. I'm sure you could really pack it on for a more metallic look, but the pictures above and below are pretty for me!

Too Faced is one of my top 3 brands of cosmetics. I collect makeup and for collecting and using and giving as gifts....this brand is amazing. Go and try them for yourself. I promise you wont be disappointed.  Good luck and enjoy the rest of your day. Love you guys! XO!!

My husband, Chris, wanted to answer questions. He actually wanted me to ask him questions about women's makeup looks and techniques because...well...he sees things differently. LOL. I decided not to do that, this time around because honestly...I don't know how to ask the questions without it being a laugh fest!

I thought I'd include my husband in a post because tomorrow is our One Year Wedding Anniversary. Thought it would be nice for everyone to hear a little bit from him. So I will type the questions and type his answers word for word. I apologize....in advance.   LOL

Hope you all are having a great day! We sure are. Take care and catch ya later! XO

Cargo Cosmetics, you have SERIOUSLY impressed me.  I am so blown away by this lip gloss, that I have to get my thoughts together to type them down. That is how blown away I am. YOU ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF!!!!

First, let me tell you that I received the RIO Essential Lip Gloss in my BeautyBar.com Allure monthly subscription box. If you don't have that subscription box, GET IT! I have done quite a few in my time and have cancelled all of them. This one, I love! The price is right and the products you get and the sizes they come in are great!

My first impressions were when I saw it, it was ugly. To bright orange. How can ANYONE wear this? Then I opened it. Then I thought looks not so intense, that's good. But let me try it on my hand. I make a swipe and I think, it somehow is going to be shear. I look at the application stick and I think it is going to be sticky and I'm just going to hate it!!!

But, this lip gloss....I am quoting Cargo Cosmetics website on this product:

Its super high shine gloss delivers intense color payoff and locks in moisture to keep lips feeling hydrated . This long wearing lip gloss has a slick texture that feels creamy, gliding over lips without being sticky. Ingredients such a Vitamin E and Jojoba Seed oil help increase lip moisture and decrease the appearance of furrows around the mouth while increasing lip volume to its maximum fullness.

Features and Benefits
  • Super high shine gloss delivers intense color payoff.
  • Slick texture feels creamy gliding over lips – non sticky.
  • Locks in moisture to keep lips feeling hydrated.
  • Long wearing.
Weight: 0.08 oz / 2.5 ml

Above is the picture of RIO on my lips. I quoted Cargo's Website because it does EXACTLY what it says it does! My lips have felt more moisturized after a short period of time then they ever have. It isn't sticky at all! Kind of, creamy...I'd say. The pigmentation is nice and long wearing. It has lasted longer than all my other lip glosses of many brands. It doesn't last all day, but much longer than other brands. It also gave the appearance of fuller lips. Not extreme but yes, it did. It decreased the furrows in my lips as well!!!! Furrows? Did I just say furrows? I didn't even KNOW what they were called until getting this lip gloss and researching it! Holy Cow...I love you Cargo!! Great lip gloss AND I'm gaining knowledge! LOL

Why Cargo? Why did you make such an amazing lip gloss? There goes my savings!!! LOL Well done Cargo. I look forward to other products you have in store of us!

Is it weird that I enjoy writing about myself? I do. I think I just like putting thoughts down of things I know that I am absolutely sure of. All the experiences typed up for others to read. Not for the hopes of approval or for people to think I have arrived. For only the reason that if someone reads this and they can relate and if I can help someone see something different or insightful for their life, I am truly happy. Not to mention if the reader is entertained, by me...then I am extremely stoked! ;-)

I am going to be 43 years old this year. Which to some, that is still young, but to others that...is old. Honestly in some aspects, I feel old. However, they are very few. I usually feel like a young adult trapped in this...body. Plus, I try hard to stay young...at least in my mind and views.

I was born and raised in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. Close to Philly and close to the Jersey shore. I would have to say a perfect place to grow up. The smallest of towns. Well, really it is a Boro. Has only two lights and the first light was the light to turn into the Boro. The other light, is right in the center of town.

I lived there most of my school years. The town is so small that we had our own little school for grades K-8. Most of my friends, lived there just as long as I did which is pretty cool. Yet, even though the town, the friends and the school were all fun and nice, everything else....wasn't so fun and nice.

I'm not going to make this a sad story to share. However I wanted to share that I am 1/2 Puerto Rican (mother) and 1/2 Norwegian (father). I look a lot like my father and a lot like my mother. I am sure, if I didn't have the dark hair, and dark eyes, I'd look more like my father....but...those two features give me away to Spanish decent. So, people see me as Spanish. Which I don't have an issue with....now.

When I was young, I hated it. Back in the late 70's and early 80's, I was made fun of because I was Puerto Rican. I definitely did my best to NOT look or sound or seem Spanish. Which when I look back was pretty silly, because there was no mistaking it...I LOOKED Spanish. lol

Funny how things change. Jobs WANT you to speak Spanish and English. When I was single and I told someone I was Puerto Rican, it was a commodity! It still is. It's sad how it was back then. Sad how it was before my time. And, it's sad that in some aspects, it's still the same.

For that very reason, that is why I enjoy being on Instagram and Twitter and blogging on a page. I get to see and read others pictures and words from ALL over the world. Different nationalities, different religions. It's amazing.

So, this blog is another page of things for you to get to know me. Why? Well, why not? I love who I am and my nationality, my ethnicity...and my small part of making up the people of this world. I am glad and thankful for your part too.

Since it's almost Easter, I thought I'd talk a little bit about Milani's Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows in the these Spring colors. I love pink and purple. They are my favorite colors and they look adorable together, in my opinion.

I love Milani Cosmetics. I believe out of all the drugstore brands, Milani is the best product for your money.  Their eyeshadows are amazing. They are silky, highly pigmented and price is JUST RIGHT!I got mine at CVS for $4.49.

These gel powder eyeshadows are NOT chalky at all. They are better than Revlon, CoverGirl, and Maybelline's eyeshadows by far. Plus they are cheaper than these brands as well.

Below are some photos with and without a flash for you to see how beautiful these colors truly are.

 BELLA DIAMOND

 BELLA PINK

 BELLA PURPLE

 BELLA ROSE

Now, for important information:

A gel powder – what would that even look like? It looks like rich, vibrant color that glides on in a single stroke, delivering a stunning multi-dimensional effect. What makes it a gel powder? Well, the formula starts as a gel and then is transformed by a special process into a stunning powder eyeshadow with pure color and power wear.

The unique process allows you to blend this incredibly innovative, weightless formula easily with your fingertips to light up your eyes. Even more to entice: It can be used wet or dry, resists creasing, and comes in satin matte, shimmer and iridescent metallic finishes.

This picture is of a swatch in the order of the individual pictures above WITH the flash on. One swipe and dry. They look so pretty!

This picture is of a swatch in the order of the individual pictures above WITHOUT the flash on. One swipe and dry. Still looking pretty.

If you are in the market to buy some pretty, pigmented and affordable eyeshadows, check out Milani's eyeshadows. You can find them at your drugstores or Walmart.

Hope you go check these and any of the other 26 colors out! Good luck!! Xo.

So, I have been eyeing the hard candy palettes at Walmart. They are only $6.00 and this palette is all matte, which I love! I was nervous purchasing because I figured it would be chalky and I wouldn't like it. I thought if anything it wouldn't be pigmented at all. I didn't want to buy it and waste $6.00 but what if it's amazing? And it only cost me $6.00?!?! So...I just did it! I finally got it.

This is what the colors look like. I don't know the names of the colors as it doesn't say on the packaging but I can see that there is Talc in it. So without saying every ingredient, it is safe to say this isn't the 'best' made palette as far as ingredients. It does say on the back of packaging that they do not test on animals. So if you can handle not the 'best' ingredients in eye shadows, then this is still okay.

Here is my eye bare. I do have only foundation and my eyebrow filled in. There are no fillers on any of these pictures. Now the look I am going for is an everyday easy and natural look. So, lets see how this palette stands up....

I used this as my base. I applied it to my entire lid from my lash line all the way up to my eyebrow. I do this really, to cancel out any dark discoloration from my skin. And it did that nicely. It did have fall out and pigmentation wasn't the best but for the price, it was fine. I just applied a little more.

I then applied this color which is a taupe-brown in color.  I applied this all over to my mobile lid and then moved up into the crease. It had some fall out and pigmentation wasn't too great, so I just added more product and it was fine. Definitely okay for a natural look.

Lastly, I applied the darkest brown in this palette to my outer corner of my eye or outer V as some will call it. I then blended it in the crease and slightly above it for my deep set eyes. That way you can see a little of it when I look at you head on. This brown had more pigmentation so I didn't need to keep adding more product. There was fall out however and once I was done I had gotten a brush to just brush all the fall out off of my face.

Here is the finished look. You can still see some fallout on my lashes, but I brushed that away and then applied some mascara. I also added that dark brown to my bottom lash line to give it a more smokey affect. Below is the finished look.

So, as far as what this palette offers for the price, I like it. The colors look very natural though, so if you are looking for something affordable and natural, I'd suggest this. Well, if you don't mind a little fall out.

I have to add that Hard Candy is making their packaging on all their cosmetics so adorable. I like this packaging. It reminds me of leather with some studs. lol. I think its cute. Small enough to take if traveling.

I also want to note that I do not have any primer on. This is just on foundation. It may be a little better with some primer.

Please check HARD CANDY'S WEBSITE for all the other palettes they offer. They have shimmery, glittery and I believe even metallic palettes. Also, check out the packaging. Adorable!

Good luck to you and I hope this post helped find that palette you may have been looking for! Xo.

Do you have really dark circles under your eyes? Well I do. I have it actually all around my eyes. Unfortunately I have always had them, however, as I've gotten older, they have gotten darker. I have been using top of the line eye creams since I was 25 years old and yet...nothing lessens the darkness. So, I have been on a mission to find something that will actually cover them all day.

I've been trying numerous concealers. Most worked fairly well, but not as well as I wanted for the darkness of the color around my eyes. I started looking for concealers that were orange/red in color to hopefully conceal it than just yellow based concealers that I've always used.

So, I found MUF's HD Concealer in the shade Apricot Beige. I looked at it on my hand and I started to feel nervous to actually apply it to my face. It did not match my skin in any way, shape or form. I understand the color wheel and how this color 'should' cancel out my dark circles but...this was scary. But, I purchased it!

Here are some facts first:
What it is:An oil-free, medium-coverage concealer that covers imperfections while remaining invisible to high-definition televisions and the naked eye.

What it does:
This concealer creates a soft-focus effect, brightening the eye area while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a natural, radiant look. The innovative soft silicone applicator enables precise application for a perfectly even finish on camera and in person.

What else you need to know:
This Sephora-exclusive concealer comes in 14 shades to suit all skin tones. It costs $29.00 for .05oz.

So let's put this baby to the test. Even though I hate this part, I figured I better take a picture of my eye with NO MAKEUP ON. My skin is just cleansed and moisturized. Nothing else. See picture below.

Scary as it is, you can see the darkness around the left side of the picture especially. My entire mobile lid (small as it is due to having deep set eyes) is this dark color as well. Now, the picture below is with ONLY the concealer.

See the orange color? Scary right? I applied it everywhere I saw the dark pigmentation. I also applied on my mobile lid. The consistency is a little thick, which I like. A little, and I mean, a little goes a long way. I feel that because its a little thicker, it covers easily with just a little product. The picture below is a picture with my foundation on top of the concealer.

Ta-da!!! See the difference? Now I have to add here, that there are no filters on these pictures. You can see every wrinkle, pore and untweezed hair on my eyelid! LOL. I have to laugh.... In case you are wondering I am using Illamasqua's skin base foundation in the shade SB 6.5.

Lastly, the picture below is with the concealer, foundation, eyebrows filled in with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown and one coat of Roller Lash mascara by Benefit Cosmetics on top and bottom lashes. I have never felt this confident with my concealer. I've been using it for over a month and it lasts pretty much all day.

I hope this post has given you another option and has helped. Good luck to you and enjoy the rest of your day! Xo
