I don't have too much luck in the foundation primer department. I don't know why. I find that when I break out its from a new primer. It makes me so nervous trying new primers because who wants a blemish or a cluster of them? Ew, right?
So there I was standing in line at my local Sephora and I was looking at all the little goodies they had on display to TEMPT me to purchase them while I try to make a break for it! I saw the little 1oz size primer. I thought to myself, I like the size and price...in case I hate it. So, I gave into the temptation and bought it.
What made me buy it was the word HYDRATING. I am so dry lately, its crazy! I thought if it'll help me with that...I'll be grateful!
Laura Geller has made a 2oz. size that costs $30. This is a bit costly however it feels like a moisturizer going on and you only need a little bit for the entire face. I would recommend this to someone with normal to dry skin but definitely not oily. It is formulated with natural, soothing and hydrating ingredients such as aloe vera gel and cupuacu seed butter. It goes on smooth, my makeup didn't become cakey. My skin looked and felt, soft! This is my only Laura Geller product, and I think it by far, is better than any other. However, it is very similar to Laura Mercier's hydrating foundation primer. (See below)
Laura Mercier's foundation primer is $34 for 1.7oz., so to save some money I'll stick with Laura Geller's foundation primer. Check out the consistency in the pictures below. It really IS hydrating!!
The picture of me shows how it really helps smooth my skin. My foundation actually stays on ALL DAY! Now I REALLY have to remember to wash my makeup off my face before bed. lol Thank goodness for Spackle Hydrating Under Make-up Primer!!!!
