So, I have been eyeing the hard candy palettes at Walmart. They are only $6.00 and this palette is all matte, which I love! I was nervous purchasing because I figured it would be chalky and I wouldn't like it. I thought if anything it wouldn't be pigmented at all. I didn't want to buy it and waste $6.00 but what if it's amazing? And it only cost me $6.00?!?! So...I just did it! I finally got it.

This is what the colors look like. I don't know the names of the colors as it doesn't say on the packaging but I can see that there is Talc in it. So without saying every ingredient, it is safe to say this isn't the 'best' made palette as far as ingredients. It does say on the back of packaging that they do not test on animals. So if you can handle not the 'best' ingredients in eye shadows, then this is still okay.

Here is my eye bare. I do have only foundation and my eyebrow filled in. There are no fillers on any of these pictures. Now the look I am going for is an everyday easy and natural look. So, lets see how this palette stands up....

I used this as my base. I applied it to my entire lid from my lash line all the way up to my eyebrow. I do this really, to cancel out any dark discoloration from my skin. And it did that nicely. It did have fall out and pigmentation wasn't the best but for the price, it was fine. I just applied a little more.

I then applied this color which is a taupe-brown in color.  I applied this all over to my mobile lid and then moved up into the crease. It had some fall out and pigmentation wasn't too great, so I just added more product and it was fine. Definitely okay for a natural look.

Lastly, I applied the darkest brown in this palette to my outer corner of my eye or outer V as some will call it. I then blended it in the crease and slightly above it for my deep set eyes. That way you can see a little of it when I look at you head on. This brown had more pigmentation so I didn't need to keep adding more product. There was fall out however and once I was done I had gotten a brush to just brush all the fall out off of my face.

Here is the finished look. You can still see some fallout on my lashes, but I brushed that away and then applied some mascara. I also added that dark brown to my bottom lash line to give it a more smokey affect. Below is the finished look.

So, as far as what this palette offers for the price, I like it. The colors look very natural though, so if you are looking for something affordable and natural, I'd suggest this. Well, if you don't mind a little fall out.

I have to add that Hard Candy is making their packaging on all their cosmetics so adorable. I like this packaging. It reminds me of leather with some studs. lol. I think its cute. Small enough to take if traveling.

I also want to note that I do not have any primer on. This is just on foundation. It may be a little better with some primer.

Please check HARD CANDY'S WEBSITE for all the other palettes they offer. They have shimmery, glittery and I believe even metallic palettes. Also, check out the packaging. Adorable!

Good luck to you and I hope this post helped find that palette you may have been looking for! Xo.

Do you have really dark circles under your eyes? Well I do. I have it actually all around my eyes. Unfortunately I have always had them, however, as I've gotten older, they have gotten darker. I have been using top of the line eye creams since I was 25 years old and yet...nothing lessens the darkness. So, I have been on a mission to find something that will actually cover them all day.

I've been trying numerous concealers. Most worked fairly well, but not as well as I wanted for the darkness of the color around my eyes. I started looking for concealers that were orange/red in color to hopefully conceal it than just yellow based concealers that I've always used.

So, I found MUF's HD Concealer in the shade Apricot Beige. I looked at it on my hand and I started to feel nervous to actually apply it to my face. It did not match my skin in any way, shape or form. I understand the color wheel and how this color 'should' cancel out my dark circles but...this was scary. But, I purchased it!

Here are some facts first:
What it is:An oil-free, medium-coverage concealer that covers imperfections while remaining invisible to high-definition televisions and the naked eye.

What it does:
This concealer creates a soft-focus effect, brightening the eye area while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a natural, radiant look. The innovative soft silicone applicator enables precise application for a perfectly even finish on camera and in person.

What else you need to know:
This Sephora-exclusive concealer comes in 14 shades to suit all skin tones. It costs $29.00 for .05oz.

So let's put this baby to the test. Even though I hate this part, I figured I better take a picture of my eye with NO MAKEUP ON. My skin is just cleansed and moisturized. Nothing else. See picture below.

Scary as it is, you can see the darkness around the left side of the picture especially. My entire mobile lid (small as it is due to having deep set eyes) is this dark color as well. Now, the picture below is with ONLY the concealer.

See the orange color? Scary right? I applied it everywhere I saw the dark pigmentation. I also applied on my mobile lid. The consistency is a little thick, which I like. A little, and I mean, a little goes a long way. I feel that because its a little thicker, it covers easily with just a little product. The picture below is a picture with my foundation on top of the concealer.

Ta-da!!! See the difference? Now I have to add here, that there are no filters on these pictures. You can see every wrinkle, pore and untweezed hair on my eyelid! LOL. I have to laugh.... In case you are wondering I am using Illamasqua's skin base foundation in the shade SB 6.5.

Lastly, the picture below is with the concealer, foundation, eyebrows filled in with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown and one coat of Roller Lash mascara by Benefit Cosmetics on top and bottom lashes. I have never felt this confident with my concealer. I've been using it for over a month and it lasts pretty much all day.

I hope this post has given you another option and has helped. Good luck to you and enjoy the rest of your day! Xo

I thought that I'd share one of my "Guilty Pleasures" for my Get To Know Me Post, today. I am going to 'expose' myself, and ADMIT to only one of these pleasures, of which maybe a hand full of people know. Most of those people, think I'm weird! lol

I know people have different guilty pleasures. Most may not admit to any, but I know most of you all do! I thought I'd challenge you in responding to this post with one of your guilty pleasures...if your brave enough. lol

I am 42 years old, for those of you who don't know. What I will share, may not be 40+ year old appropriate. I mean, not all 40+ year old women may not be interested in such things. You see, I truly feel like a young kid at heart. I think most of the time my mind pictures me as a young adult. I may dress, or style my hair or wear makeup more like a 20 year old than a 50 year old. But, come on...age is just a number, right? RIGHT!!

My first, enjoyment that literally keeps me on the edge of my seat, are shows. No one I know, except my daughter, maybe....watches these shows. She's only 20! lol. They are:

With Pretty Little Liars, I started watching because I loved what the girls were wearing, their makeup and hair. Then the story line kept getting crazier and crazier...Now I am addicted!!! March 24th was the season finale, and yes....I watched it....with my eyes wide open and hand over my mouth!!! Ugh....IT WAS SO GOOD!!!

Vampire Diaries, I stumbled on by mistake. I didn't like the Twilight Series but I would take my daughter to see the movies however and keep up to date with them, for the sake of just doing something that my daughter enjoyed. So when Vampire Diaries came out, I wasn't interested. At least, not until January of 2015. I was bored one day and started looking on Netflix for something to watch. I couldn't find anything that really looked good but I thought I'd give Vampire Diaries a chance. I was used to Twilight so it took me about 3 episodes to get into it because it wasn't ANYTHING like Twilight. Oh, it is BETTER! (In my opinion.) I watched episode after episode and saw every season in about 1 1/2 months time!!! I was addicted. And come on....look at the actors on this show. Oh Lord....wow!

The last show is The Voice. I've watched every single season. I have loved it from day one. I personally love to sing. I love music and entertaining. I used to watch American Idol but stopped after the 3rd or 4th season. I love how these popular artists get to judge people SOLELY on their voice and voice alone. Throughout the seasons, the camaraderie between the judges, especially Blake Shelton and Adam Levine is HILARIOUS! I think within the last two seasons, I enjoy them more than anything else on the show!

I suggest you all try these shows. Some may think it's silly, but they are rather very good. If you watch these shows, please help me tell these people who read this post how GREAT these shows are!
Love you guys...have a great day!!

Well hello there. I completely forgot to upload this post yesterday, sorry about that. I wanted to share with you my Jewelry Armoire. I have had it for about four years now and I love it. When it was purchased, it was quite a bit more money than what I found it for online for this post.

First, if you are looking for something to store your jewelry in, THIS is definitely a must have. It is a heavier piece (still movable though)and made very nicely. It is Antique Walnut. The designs are so pretty, I think that feature is what helped me decide on this piece.

The top lid with mirror lifts open to 17 compartments and 7 ring rolls. It also has 2 side doors that swing open with inside necklace hooks. Holds tons and love the ropes that keep the necklaces from swinging around when the doors open and close. There are 7 drawers which 4 of them have compartments in them. This armoire has ivory lining which is tarnish free AND keeps jewelry from being tarnished! Love that!!

I've moved once since owning this and it is a little heavy but with two people you can move it. I kept all the jewelry inside of it, and there was no problems at all. The only negative thing I can say about it, is it isn't fun dusting the design on the front doors. lol....but when is dusting fun, anyway???

I found it online at JCPenny's. You may want to sit down for this...for only $120.00! My jaw dropped when I read that. I know I paid way more than double that. The quality of this Armoire far exceeds $120. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and if you are looking for something to store your jewelry, check this out! Good luck to you and have a great day! Xo

Hello there my friend. I had to do this review on a popular bronzer by Benefit. Hoola Bronzer is $28.00 for .28 ounces. You can purchase it from Sephora, Ulta and of course, https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/. It comes in one shade which is a great shade! It also comes with a a mini bronzer brush that fits inside the box. It fits nicely in my makeup bag and it's easy to take while traveling.

This bronzer has a matte finish. There are no sparkles or glitter to worry about. This is NOT shimmery. It is very natural looking but also gives a luminous glow. I find this bronzer very blendable. Just with any bronzer, tap off any excess product off your brush before applying. This will help as to not apply too much. I find this bronzer very pigmented as well. It isn't chalky or light nor dark. Hoola also lasts all day! Sometimes it's the only thing left on my face!! LOL There is no scent that I can smell which I like because I am a big scent person. The best part is that it isn't orange in any way.

Now for the negatives. I personally do not like the packaging. The box is....just a box. It opens whenever it wants and if something gets it wet, I'm sure there would be a problem. I'm sure it wouldn't take much to bend it either. That is the ONLY thing I have to say that is negative.

I use the Nars Ita Brush to apply my Hoola Bronzer. It fits PERFECTLY in the hollows of my cheeks. I've included a picture below of what it looks like on a normal day to day look.

The picture above is a swatch of the bronzer. Just one swipe on my skin. Not too much but not too light. Definitely buildable if you like a stronger color. The picture below is the same swatch just blended just a bit, to simulate blending on my cheeks. Very easily done!

I apply tis bronzer sometimes to just the hollows of my cheeks. Sometimes I'll also put a little up at my temples and along my jaw bones, when I'm feeling a little.....bloated. LOL

Thank you for stopping by my little spot in cyber space. I appreciate it! Take care and until next time.

I have some serious dry skin. I think I may have borderline eczema in areas, honestly. So, I have been looking high and low for moisturizer to get rid of the flaky areas. I had hoped for a miracle product to actually change my skin from crazy dry to normal.

So, when I read that the Hydro Boost products were coming out, I put my money aside and anxiously awaited for it to come out. I would check every pharmacy near me, every day, to see when these products were out. Finally, they arrived. They were both $18.99 which made me gulp a few times, but if it did what it says it does, oh I'm all for it!! The moisturizer is 1.7 oz and the eye gel is 0.5 oz.

On Neutrogena's website it says: Hydro Boost Gel-Cream for Extra-Dry Skin instantly quenches extra dry skin and keeps it looking smooth, supple and hydrated day after day. The unique gel-cream formula absorbs quickly, like a gel, but has the long-lasting, intense moisturizing power of a cream, for even extra dry skin. It boosts skin's hydration level and locks it in all day.

Naturally found in the skin, hydrating hyaluronic acid acts as a sponge for dry skin cells, moisturizing with up to 1,000 times its weight in water, resulting in more supple and smooth skin.
  • Oil-free
  • Fragrance-free
  • Dye-free
  • Non-comedogenic
  • Purified Hyaluronic acid
  • Wearable under makeup

It starts out as gel as shown above but as you rub it into your skin it starts to feel like cream. As it's going on, it feels great! Actually cooling. I applied on my entire face and neck. Unfortunately the container isn't the best container in my opinion. I don't like to put my fingers into the jar to pull product out. I suggest using a clean spatula every time. That way bacteria wont get mixed in with the product.

It blends into the skin fairly well. It does feel a bit on the greasy side but it didn't bother me too much, because once I apply my foundation, it would get absorbed into the skin better.

As far as the moisturizer and my thoughts on it: Neutrogena claims that it will keep your face moisturized all day. It did not. By the time I came home, my patches were already flaking. So after 10 hours, it looked and felt as if I never applied moisturizer at all. I enjoyed applying it. It was refreshing and feels like it would really do its job, but it didn't. Not for someone with extra dry skin. The smell of it isn't my favorite. I'm glad it didn't smell like perfume but I'd rather it smell like nothing. I think that this product would be better for normal to dry skin. However, I don't think it works for extra dry skin.

Below is the eye cream. It feels, smells and looks EXACTLY like the moisturizer. It feels great as I apply it. I will give these products that, but my eyes do not stay moisturized. I am 42 years old, and I really need moisture in this area. I need something to help plump the skin up as well. This did not.

See how the gel to cream looks exactly like the moisturizer? I truly believe it's the same thing!

The jar states that it keeps the skin hydrated day after day. For me, that is not the case. It is great that the product is oil-free, fragrance-free, dye free and non-comedogenic. Thankfully, I believe that to be true, and didn't break out.

The eye cream is another product I would suggest someone who has normal to dry skin. I don't believe someone with extra dry skin will get the results they are looking for.

Hello there my friends! Hope your day is going well. The weekend always goes by too quick. My husband and I decided to go to a restaurant in Downtown Fredericksburg because they make NY style pizza. I'm from New Jersey and I miss some serious NY pizza! They make it just like pizza shops do in NY.

Afterwards we decided to go to SSG Tactical to check out some handguns for me. (conceal carry types) https://www.ssgtactical.com/ My husband said it's gun porn in there and a few times....I had to clean up the drool on the side of his mouth!

While looking we found my new baby. It is the new 9mm Taurus Millennium G2. It is a lightweight at 22 oz. It has a polymer frame, thin profile, and ramped 3.2 inch barrel. The Millennium G2 features an accessory rail, high-profile sights, an aggressive, textured grip and melted edges for added comfort and easy concealment.

Taurus provides a loaded chamber indicator on this gun. The indicator doesn't interfere with the operation of the gun. There isn't an extra cost for this, thankfully. I like how it gives you verification that there is a round in the chamber. When a round is in the chamber, the ejector pops out of the slide, exposing a red strip just behind the ejection port.

I got it at an excellent price. The MSRP is: $434.59, but I got it less than $280.00 and it came with 2 mags! I loved that it has a rail on it so that I can put a laser on it, if I chose to. (I think I may!! lol) I love how the gun was super light and the grips felt perfect for my little hand.

I am looking forward to going to our property to do some target shooting. I have been looking for a gun I feel comfortable and CONFIDENT behind, and with this gun, I definitely do! Ladies, go and try one out. It feels great and the safety features helps me to feel confident holding it and shooting it.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope the rest of the weekend is full of great things! XO
